Forthcoming Events (Activities, Outings & Workshops) will be listed below. Some events may also be listed as a group in the 'Out & About' category, accessible via the 'Group List' menu link. To participate in some events it will be necessary to apply to join the associated group so that numbers and any payments are controlled.

Saturday 12th September 2026 - A proposed outing to Bishop Auckland to see the "Kynren" event.

This is an outdoor evening event (sundown to starlight) and goes ahead whatever the weather. You are advised to wear warm waterproof clothes, to bring a cushion to sit on and a rug to wrap up in. It is described as a live action show to tell the story of England's past. The show is about 90 to 100 minutes long with no interval, and includes jousting and ends with fireworks.

We will travel by Morse coach and the cost includes travel and entrance fee. There are 37 places available. The total cost will be approximately £50, but a £10 deposit is needed now. If you wish to attend please log in to the Easingwold & District u3a website and join the 'Kynren 2026' group.
